| Research Interests |
| My program of research is in the area of child and adolescent psycholopathology, broadly construed. I have particular interests in the assessment and treatment of child and adolescent internalizing conditions (e.g., depression, generalized anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder), externalizing disorders (e.g., substance abuse, conduct problems), and autism spectrum disorders. Moreover, I have a strong methodological interest in assessing psychotherapy outcome. For example, I have completed several meta-analytic studies designed to assess outcome broadly over time and across various types of treatment trials. I am currently collaborating with colleagues from ASU and Duke University Medical Center on a meta-analysis investigating the effectiveness of treatments for child and adolescent anxiety disorders. Other interests of mine include investigating the efficacy of treatments for attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and alcohol abuse among college students (e.g., motivational interviewing strategies). |
